A visit to the Claude Moore Colonial Farm is a visit to another world ...the world of an 18th Century family living on a small,
low-income farm just prior to the Revolutionary War.

The year is 1771 ... won't you come and visit?

Colonial Day Resources from Claude Moore Colonial FarmPopular 18th Century Games - Nine Man Morris

(A game for two players)

Equipment: game board, nine men for each player (we use red and white beans)

Object: To remove your opponents markers from the board. The player who ends the game with the most men remaining on the board wins.

To Play: Each player takes turns placing his markers at intersecting lines.
When one player builds a "mill" by placing three men in a row, he may remove one of his opponents men. After all nine men have been played, each player then slides one marker to any adjacent intersection of lines.
