A visit to the Claude Moore Colonial Farm is a visit to another world ...the world of an 18th Century family living on a small,
low-income farm just prior to the Revolutionary War.

The year is 1771 ... won't you come and visit?

Special Events: Fundraisers

The Farm holds many Sales of Books, Estate Items and othe Donated Goods throughout the year. These sales are held at the Chez Puce sales building located in the office area at the end of Colonial Farm Road in McLean, Virginia.

All proceeds benefit the Farm's educational programs.

2008 Book Sales:

Giant Book Sale will be scheduled for June - date TBA

We have a wall of books on sale throughout the year at The GateHouse Shop, but several times throughout the year, we schedule major book sales. This is our opportunity to offer the large selection of books which have been donated to the Farm. Browse through books for history lovers, travelers, gardeners, cooks and kids. You'll find fiction, nonfiction, first editions and some rare and special volumes, videotapes, CDs and records. These books are 100% donated, 85% are hardback and prices range from $1 - $2 each. Standard paperback books are 5 for $1. Handheld scanners are permitted but you must "scan as you go".
