A visit to the Claude Moore Colonial Farm is a visit to another world ...the world of an 18th Century family living on a small,
low-income farm just prior to the Revolutionary War.

The year is 1771 ... won't you come and visit?

At any given Market Fair, various craftsmen will display for sale or order their own goods or those for whom they are representative.

Visit with Mr. Henderson, Joyner, an artisan of fine wood and workmanship of furniture, and inspect some of his finer pieces brought to the Market Fair just for your perusal.

Consult Dr. W. Burns Jones about your maladies and ailments, and discover from him the latest treatments and cures.

Watch as our Spinners and Dyers start with unwashed raw wool and prepare to spin it for cloth. Peer into the latest vat of dye and guess what color it may make.

Admire the skill of the Blacksmith as he works iron at his forge.

Inspect the equipment of the Surveyor who is charting the land.

The Militia may be in residence to protect and recruit, demonstrating their own skills in the art of warfare, and training the initiate and volunteer to tactical standards.
